A 2017 Admiral Blue manual Stingray is special because it combines the clean, naturally aspirated C7 formula with an uncommon color and increasingly rare transmission.
- Final generation of manual Corvettes: The C7 was the last Corvette offered with a clutch pedal. The C8 moved to a mid-engine, dual-clutch-only layout.
- Seven-speed manual: The Tremec gearbox has active rev-matching, launch control and a 3.42 rear axle. Only 2,556 of 13,551 Stingrays built for 2017 had a manual—about 19%.
- Uncommon Admiral Blue: Only 1,079 Stingrays were Admiral Blue: 942 coupes and 137 convertibles.
- Naturally aspirated LT1: Its 6.2-liter V8 makes 455 hp and 460 lb-ft, increasing to 460 hp and 465 lb-ft with the optional performance exhaust. It provides instant response and a traditional Corvette exhaust note without supercharger complexity.
- Strong performance: A manual Stingray can reach 60 mph in roughly four seconds while remaining comfortable and practical enough for regular driving.
- Classic configuration: The long hood, front-mounted V8, rear transaxle and manual gearbox represent the traditional Corvette layout in its most technically developed form.
- Heritage color: Admiral Blue recalls the iconic 1996 Grand Sport and looks particularly distinctive against the C7’s black vents and angular bodywork.
